Knowing our fuel source
 The liquid biomass used in our Energy Centres is sustainably grown rapeseed oil grown by British farmers close to our Energy Centres. Blue-NG has established long-term contractual relationships with farmers to ensure minimum transport distances and maximum environmental benefits. |
Efficient power generation
 Blue-NG Energy Centres are between 65 and 80% efficient dependent upon the amount of district heating we supply; this is a world class standard – more than twice as efficient as a coal fired power station and more than 3 times more efficient than the typical car. |
Food statistics
 Currently crop values are at low levels, and in some cases prices are below the cost of production. As a result there is significant land lying idle in the world. At present a surplus of oilseed rape in the UK is transported overseas using fossil fuels, Blue-NG is providing a local outlet. |
