What do Blue-NG do?
Blue-NG builds and operates Energy Centres that produce electricity and heat locally from renewable sources.

Our renewable Energy Centre is far smaller than normal gas and coal-fired plant and it is built next to existing gasworks, so it has little visual impact on the surrounding area.
- Approximate site total footprint 100m by 50m or 5000m2
- Energy CentreĀ building size 40m wide, 40m long up to 25m high.
- Engine exhaust stack 2m diameter, between 18 and 28m high.
Blue-NG Energy Centres are capable of providing the following power:
- Up to 20 MW of electricity to the regional electricity distribution network or local energy service company (ESCo); providing renewable power to meet the Code for Sustainable Homes requirements for new developments. This equates to renewable electricity for up to 50,000 homes.
- Up to 7 MW of renewable heat to a district heating network or ESCo to meet the Code for Sustainable Homes requirements or industrial process.
Blue-NG is proud to be part of the mix of renewables which will help to fill the energy gap caused by the closure over the next few years of old coal and nuclear generators.
